Sometimes I imagine Benedict Cumberbatch sitting in a darkened basement with a list of all the stories/people I love/admire most, cackling as he crosses off the ones that he has been in adaptations of, knowing the pain he will cause me by playing so many of my favourite characters so perfectly….
